Director
Prof. Dr. Paul Sauseng
The Director of the UZH Department of Psychology is responsible for the strategic management of the department. The Director represents the department to the faculty and university leadership, as well as to the public. The Director chairs meetings of the Assembly, oversees the budget, allocates resources, and participates in professorial chair planning and appointment negotiations. By virtue of this position, the Director serves as the Information Security Officer (ISO) and is therefore responsible for data and information security within the UZH Department of Psychology. The Director is appointed by the university leadership upon the recommendation of the Assembly for a term of office from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2030.
Deputy Director and Program Director
Prof. Dr. Klaus Oberauer
The Deputy Director, who also serves as Program Director of the UZH Department of Psychology, is responsible for the conception, development, profiling, and quality assurance of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Psychology. The Deputy Director chairs the Programme Committee and serves as the primary contact for the Dean's Office for Studies. The Deputy Director is appointed by the university leadership upon the recommendation of the Assembly for a term of office from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2028.
Managing Direktor
Dr. Annina Clerici
The Managing Director supports the Director and is primarily responsible for the administrative management of the department's financial, infrastructural, and human resources. The Managing Director heads the department's central services and, by virtue of this position, serves as Process Manager and Resource Manager.
Head of Program Coordination
Dr. Heike Bull
The Head of Program Coordination supports the Program Director and leads the team responsible for the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Psychology.
