Sofia (she/they) obtained their PhD in Social Psychology from Stockholm University with a thesis on the visibility and inclusion of trans and gender diverse people in the media and in the workplace. They were also part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie doctoral network G-VERSITY, focused on improving gender diversity in the workplace. Previously, she worked as a research assistant at the Psychology Department of the University of Padova, where she received her master’s degree in Social and Organizational Psychology investigating gender conspiracy theories. Their main areas of interest and expertise are gender and sexual minorities, gender beyond the binary, intergroup contact and prejudice, and media representations.
