Research Interests: Intergroup Relations, Health and Well-being, Discrimination, Social Support, LGBTIQ+

Bernadette Zierl is a PhD candidate working with the Swiss LGBTIQ+ Panel team at the University of Zurich. Her research focuses on understanding and tackling LGBTIQ+ health disparities. In addition, she investigates the palliative and end-of-life care needs of LGBTIQ+ people with researchers from Lausanne and Yverdon. Bernadette holds a B.Sc. in Psychology and a M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy from Ulm University. She combines multi-method and longitudinal approaches to better understand the challenges faced by marginalized communities and ways to promote good health and well-being.
