Chika is a PhD candidate with the Chair of Prevention and Mental Health. With a background in global health and psychology, she has worked with NGOs across public health and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS). Her research interests focus on improving access to mental healthcare for underserved populations, particularly in humanitarian and low-resource settings. She is especially interested in community-led approaches to care and how these can be nurtured and supported to reduce the risk of adverse mental health outcomes and foster resilience.
