World Mental Health Day 2025
Every year, October 10th marks World Mental Health Day. The aim of this global awareness day is to raise awareness of mental health issues and to mobilize support for mental health efforts worldwide.
On this occasion, we would like to highlight a new documentary focusing on chronic mental health disorders.
Millions of people around the world live with a chronic mental health condition—lasting two years or more, and in some cases, a lifetime. But why do mental disorders like depression or anxiety sometimes persist for so long? Chronicity involves many interacting factors, and no single perspective can fully explain it. This documentary explores the question from three key perspectives:
- Mental health researchers
- Psychotherapy practitioners
- Individuals with lived experience of chronic mental disorders
The film invites viewers to reflect on what chronic mental disorders are, how they originate and develop, how they are treated, what they mean for those affected, and why all of this matters.
