Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Dr. Heidi Levitt as a guest and learning a great deal from her expertise in qualitative methods, psychotherapy, and LGBTQ+ research.
During the hands-on workshops on qualitative research methodology, a variety of topics were covered across two days. These ranged from developing and formulating good qualitative research questions, constructing appropriate interview guides, techniques for conducting interviews and focus groups, to specifics in analysis methods and manuscript writing, as well as the quality criteria of qualitative studies. Based on concrete examples from various participants from different research groups and projects we benefited from very insightful exchanges with Prof. Heidi Levitt.
In the guest colloquium, Prof. Heidi Levitt presented her experiences and research on: "What Your Clients Are Not Telling You: Translating Findings from Qualitative Research to Practice."
Further exchange was enabled by a visit to psychotherapy researchers and colleagues Prof. Dr. Martin Grosse Holtforth and Prof. Dr. Christoph Flückiger in Bern, providing a wonderful opportunity for networking as well as a city tour of Bern, to conclude a successful visit.
