Our department is founding member of the Population Research Center (PRC) at the University of Zurich. The PRC is a joint interdisciplinary initiative of departments and researchers from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of the University of Zurich. A major aim of the PRC is to support state-of-the-art interdisciplinary research for a better understanding of population health. To this end the PRC builds a collaborative and integrated scientific platform for population-based research which supports scientific collaborations among researchers, institutes and faculties of the University and other national and international academic institutions. The department contributes to the PRC with its expertise in the fields of mental health prevention, common mental disorders and health service research.
