Curriculum Vitae

Christine obtained a B.Sc. degree in Psychology from the University of Münster, Germany and an M.Sc. degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from the Free University of Berlin, Germany. In 2023, Christine completed her doctoral dissertation at the University of Zurich, Switzerland funded by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation and currently works as a postdoc at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich. Christine’s research interests include loneliness, emotion regulation and psychopathology, internet-based psychological interventions as well as mechanisms underlying response to psychotherapeutic treatment. 

Christine has been awarded a two-year scholarship (UZH Postdoc Grant) to conduct an innovative project on the role of emotion regulation in the development of feelings of loneliness. This project is split into three sub-projects involving (1) a meta-analysis, (2) the analysis of three already existing experience sampling datasets as well as (3) a lab experiment. This project will be conducted in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Jutta Joormann (Yale University) and Prof. Dr. Reuma Gadassi Polack (The Tel-Aviv Yaffo Academic College).
