Curriculum vitae

Anja obtained her B.Sc. degree in Neuroinformatics from the University of Warsaw, Poland and her M.Sc. degree in Neuro-Cognitive Psychology from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany. She completed her Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, where she investigated alterations in functional connectivity and BOLD signal dynamics in major depressive disorder using resting-state fMRI.
She is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) project “SIMON - Suicide Ideation Monitoring”. The project aims at testing the feasibility of a digital protocol to monitor and predict suicidal ideation and hospital readmission in patients post-discharge from an inpatient psychiatry stay.
Anja’s research interests revolve around digital technology and AI in mental healthcare. In the SIMON project she applies machine and deep learning to build predictive models from passive mobile sensing data and psychological variables.
