Our research group focuses on the cognitive, psychological and neural processes that underlie the processing of visual and auditory environmental stimuli as well as emotional stimuli. We also do research in the field of Forensic Psychology by investigating the determinants of serious crimes and digital fraud.

Our research focuses on:

• Digital communication, cybersecurity, and psychology of deepfakes
• Bayesian modelling of brain-computer interfaces
• Neural mechanisms of voice communication and psychoacoustics
• Affect processing from human faces, voices, and music
• Anatomy of the limbic system
• Forensic analysis of serious crimes, witness’ reports, and digital fraud
• Digital archaeo-acoustics: Psychoacoustics and digital recreation of ancient instruments

To investigate these scientific questions, we use a variety of psychological and neuroscientific methods:
