Research Statement
The focus of our unit is on the psychology of adult development and healthy aging.
We aim to describe and explain the changes in the structures and processes that influence individuals' experience and behavior across the lifespan into very old age. This includes the development of social, emotional, cognitive, and personality resources and how they interact with environmental conditions.
By relying on both basic and applied research, we strive to better understand and embrace the complexity of healthy aging to help pioneer new perspectives that will support the development of evaluation protocols, interventions, and prevention measures in the areas of gerontopsychology and gerontology.

Our unit collaborates closely with the UZH Healthy Longevity Center and the UZH Center for Gerontology , as well as national and international experts from different disciplines.
