Babies and children develop new skills almost every day. Sometimes they are easy to observe in everyday life, sometimes a playful task can help. With the help of clear criteria and explanatory illustrations, the Pebbles App quickly informs you whether your child has accomplished a development step or is still learning it. You can follow your child’s development by answering appropriate questions until the age of 6.
By doing this, you will be helping us at the University of Zurich to understand the individual development of children. We evaluate the order in which children make progress.
Learn interesting facts about the most important development steps of children with the Pebbles App. When searching for a specific progress, you can specifically search for, select and learn more about motor skills, speech or perception. You will learn what your child needs to make a development step and receive useful tips on how to promote progress.
Capture the best moments in your child's development wherever you are. With a photo or text, simple and intuitive. These are displayed chronologically in the Pebbles App with the milestones achieved.
Each moment and development step recorded in the diary can be shared via SMS, email and social media. You can also download the complete diary in PDF format. A printed version of your child’s diary is guaranteed to bring joy to your friends and relatives!
Children learn new things every day, and astonish us adults over and over again. At the Department of Developmental Psychology of Infants and Children at the University of Zurich, we have made astonishment at child development a profession.
We explore how babies and toddlers discover the world – how they learn, think and act. By using the app, you will help us to collect and evaluate important data and information about child development.
